MALLOW AND DUNGARVEN FESTIVALS
This year’s Mallow Racing Home for Easter Festival was quite mind blowing as individuals, local and non-local, came from all walks of life to witness the annual festival. People assembled on the 16th of April to take part in this exciting event. The town was a hive of activity between Mallow Castle, the Racecourse & Mallow Town Centre, with all hosting Events and Entertainment. The annual meet is one of Ireland’s premier horse racing courses. Located just outside Mallow, at the crossroads of Munster, the course provides options for all visitors, from VIP corporate boxes, 4 course restaurant packages, social deals, and discounted group entry.
Mallow Castle hosted a family fun day and food fair with producers coming from far and wide. Of course we here at Harty’s were in attendance, it is our first outing of the season each year and not to be missed. We were delighted to be asked to promote the event and our range of savoury jellies on C103 earlier in the week and thank you to all, especially Patricia at the Radio C103 for the warm welcome we received.
It was a glorious day which we were very grateful for! We set up our stall bright and early and finished with a bang in the afternoon. Events like this are always a treat and a fabulous opportunity to meet other creative food producers and of course our happy customers that have supported us from day one. We had such a great day out and loved meeting you all as always!
It was another jam-packed weekend for us at Harty’s as we also attended the famous West Waterford food festival in Dungarven on the 23rd of April. Harty’s only adore travelling around Ireland to these fantastic events not just to get our jelly into everyone’s bellies, but to reunite with close friends, food producers and customers from afar. Having started the event in 2008, over the years, the festival has been a showcase of the food of the region, as well as being host to some of the top chefs, fresh flavors, interesting influences and good ideas. This is one festival where there is something for everyone – a full children’s programme, foraging trails, bus tours, cooking demos, dining experiences from high end to very casual plus of course the markets. We felt so privileged to be among over 100 fantastic food stalls and we loved bringing you the best of local and Irish artisan food. This festival is a mighty YES from us, our jellies and our biscuits
Finally, we would like to kindly thank all of the celebration coordinators of every occasion, the volunteers, and makers, for all their diligent work and of course our customers for their loyal support.
No rest for the mischievous as is commonly said! But we wouldn’t have it any other way! nourishment celebrations to keep us occupied for the entire summer, we will be sure to have bountiful amount of our stories to impart to you soon. Summer is approaching which means plenty of BBQ and plenty of Jelly to go around.
