Autumn at Harty’s 2018

Food Festival Autumn 2018

It’s as busy as ever here at Harty’s this Autumn with attending most food festival. We had a couple of fantastic competitions on our Facebook page with lots of customers and supporters sharing their love of Harty’s jellies and we are so appreciative of the support!  Many thanks to all!

As well as the competitions, this month we were invited to attend Health & Wellness Week in Kerry Business Services in Charleville. We had a chance to listen to and meet with Limerick man, Declan Hannon, All Ireland Hurling Captain for 2018. He spoke of the “ups and downs on and off the field” – it was an enlightening talk and so interesting to hear about the behind-the-scenes life of a top-level hurler.

Following that we had the chance to spend some time in Cork. We were at Taste of West Cork – a fantastic festival showcasing many artists, writers, craftsmen and food producers from the region and all over Ireland. It’s always a pleasure to visit this part of the country.

Continuing our visit to Cork, we had an instore tasting session at Fields Supervalu on Saturday 15th meeting and chatting with our valued customers. And we were at the Food Fair on Sunday 16th in Skibbereen – we’re happy to have any excuse to visit Skibb.

Coming up for the rest of the month:

Keep an eye out for us at Tralee Food Festival from Sept 21st– 23rd. We’ll be in the square in Tralee on Saturday for the market and we’re delighted that Turners Pub will have a specially created taster dish on offer of Annascaul Black Pudding with our Ginger Hot Pepper jelly on soda bread as part of the Taste Trail – definitely worth checking out!

That same weekend, we’re looking forward to attending Macroom Food Festival on Sunday 23rd. Come and find us in the square!

Next up is Cork Cheese Week. This fantastic festival is organised by Elke O Mahony of Bia Sasta and will be running from September 24th-30th. It’s a week long celebration of the best Cork, Irish and International Cheese Producers and we’re very happy to be attending and trying out which cheeses go best with our range of jellies.

October:

We’re excited to announce that we have been invited again to attend Dingle Food Fair on the first weekend of October, the 5th – 7th. We have been delighted to attend this festival for the past 8 years, and lucky enough to win Silver & Gold at Blas na hEireann, www.irishfoodawards.com  last year…fingers crossed for this year!

On the 24th and 25th we’re going international! We’ll be at the SIAL Paris Trade Show expanding our culinary horizons. This trade show is organised every two years, and in 2018 there will be 7,200 exhibitors from 102 countries – including us! We are really looking forward to meeting fellow food producers from all over the world, learning about new food trends and sharing our products with other foodies…better start brushing up on our French, oui oui!

Bringing this busy season to a close, we’ll be at Savour Kilkenny on the 27th& 28th, over the October Bank Holiday weekend. Celebrating its 12th year, we can’t wait to be back in foodie heaven, enjoying interactive demos and masterclasses with award-winning chefs, interesting dining events, beer and wine tasting, live entertainment, and participating in the food market.

Looking forward to seeing you at all of these events. Stop by the stand to say Hi and restock your supply of your favourite Harty’s jelly!
