End of Year highlights 2018

A very happy 2019 to you all!

We were very much in need of a nice relaxing Christmas break after a busy few weeks. But we’re back, ready to start the New Year fresh and energised!

Some highlights from the last two months of 2018 for Harty’s include:

Our markets

3rd November – Cork & Kerry Indoor Food Market at City Hall. The Food Market is in its ninth year. We set up shop among over 70 food stalls and artisan food makers. With cookery demos and kids baking demos, live music and food pairing demos. Most importantly a fantastic family day out was had by all.

4th November –  We were getting into the Christmas spirit at the Ballybunion Christmas Craft Fair held at the Tinteán Theatre. We had a great day meeting some early Christmas shoppers who were out supporting local businesses and craft makers.

24th November – We were back at one of our favourite places, Manor West Food and Craft Fair. We always enjoy getting to meet other Tralee-based food producers and chat with our loyal customers and supporters. And a BIG Thank you to Radio Kerry for inviting us to chat and promote our savoury jellies live on the radio that morning

25th November – Again we were staying local and ventured over to the Killarney Christmas Festival. This is always a great event to participate in, lots of stalls and enthusiastic shoppers. There’s always a lovely Christmassy feeling at this festival and we look forward to it every year.

Our instore demos

As the end of the year approaches, Harty’s always likes to participate in the Customer Appreciation Evenings organised at each of the Supervalu supermarkets. It’s a great way to finish up the year. And make sure our customers are well stocked up with our Cranberry Jelly for the Christmas turkey dinner! On November 28th we were in Garvey’s in Tralee. Then on 4th of December we went to Garvey’s in Castleisland. On the 5th we were at  Daly’s in Killarney and on the 6th we were in at Garvey’s in Listowel. For the last of those events we were in Field’s in Skibbereen on the 12th of December.

Another important part of what we do here year-round at Harty’s are In-Store Tasting sessions. We finished up 2018 with a trip to Cork and some In-Store Tastings at Ryan’s in Glanmire on the 7th of December, Field’s in Skibbereen on the 13th and at Scally’s in Clonakilty on the 14th. The In-Store Tastings are a great way to meet and greet our customers face-to-face. To hear about how they are liking and using their favourite flavours of our savoury jellies.

To finish up after quite a busy year we had a few more food fairs and Christmas markets to attend.

On the 8th and 9th, we were back at Manor West Shopping Centre for their Christmas Food and Craft Fair. A great chance to wish our customers well for the Christmas holidays and new year. We then headed to Cork on the 11th for the Macroom Christmas Craft and Food Fair held in the town square.

Last up and taking us into our Christmas holidays, we attended the Bank of Ireland Enterprise Showcase on the 20th of December – what a way to end the year.
