Last month Melanie featured as a judge at the Celebrity Restaurant event at Kirby’s Brogue Inn in aid of Pieta house. Brian Hurley, Kerry Matters from Irish Tv Sky 191 broadcast the event with other celebrity judges Pat Spillane, renowned Kerry footballer, Chef Paul Treyvaud, Killarney and Cindy O Connor from Pieta house. The mystery celebrity chefs on the night were revealed as Kerry footballing captain Kieran Donaghy and Kerry footballer Barry John Keane. The menus were delicious while locally sourced as much as possible including Ring of Kerry lamb and Wild Atlantic cod as the centrepieces. We were delighted to support the event with our Original Mint jelly as an accompaniment to the Ring of Kerry lamb.
The winning chef on the night was Barry John, scoring 5 stars for his delicious menu, however, the competition was neck and neck throughout the night.
