Harty’s Events Spring Summer 2019

Where is the year going? We’ve been so busy here at Harty’s, the months have been flying by…so it’s high-time for an update!

On March 8th, we attended the Bank of Ireland Business Launch, a fantastic event held by a very supportive institution. Then on the 21st we were somewhere completely different – the Racing Home for Easter Festival in Mallow, Co Cork for our first food festival of the year. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, we had a great time taking in some of the racing and other fun family events at the festival and, of course, meeting and catching up with our customers at the Food and Craft Fair.

We were well represented at home in Kerry on the 4th and 5th of May, when Yummy Cafe in Tralee used our jellies during the Tralee Food Festival Taste Trail. We’re big fans of Yummy Cafe and were delighted to be included on their menu for the festival.

Next up, we were in Clare on the 11th and 12th for the Burren Slow Food Festival, where the motto was ‘Taste the Atlantic – Seaweed’. The focus of the festival was on seafood and there were many really interesting talks and cooking demos around this theme. We took part in the Artisan Food Producers’ and Farmers’ Market where we joined local, Irish and Italian small producers.

We started the summer season with a final entry to the Blas na hEireann awards on the 15th of June. We’ve had a lot of success with Blas in the past and will have our fingers and toes crossed for our Mint and Apple & Sage jellies until the final result announcement in August – we’ll let you know how we get on.

We stayed local on the 29th June and took part in the Manor West Food and Craft Festival. We always love the opportunity to catch up with our local customers who have been so supportive from the beginning and there’s always a great atmosphere in the shopping centre on these festival days, it’s such a treat!

Finishing up the first week of July, we were so thrilled to win a yellow ribbon for our Apple & Sage jelly at the Artisan Food awards as part of the Clonmel Agricultural Show on the 7th. We are always so happy to see others enjoying our jellies and appreciating the time and effort we’ve put in to perfecting the flavours of each of our products.

We’ve had fantastic continued support this year as we’ve spread our jellies (pun intended) further afield. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a huge **Thank You** to Smith’s SuperValu of Navan, SuperValu Tower,  Hurley’s SuperValu of Middleton, Murphy’s SuperValu Castletownbere, and the Independent shops – Mace in Waterville, Good Food Outlet in Ballysimon, Limerick and Eden Cafe in Cork for taking on our jellies and helping us reach many more hungry customers.

We’ll be continuing on the festival circuit for the rest of the summer and we’d love to see you and hear about how you use the Harty’s jelly range.

Come and visit us at the upcoming festivals:
