Bord Bia’s Bloom in the park is always a phenomenal event, and this year was no different. Taking place over June bank holiday weekend in Phoenix park it offers families, tourists, foodies and garden lovers a wonderful opportunity to witness the best in Irish produce. We attended Bloom for our 5th consecutive year and were blown away with the quality, creativity and innovation on offer by new food producers. Bloom is always a fantastic opportunity for start-up businesses to get their product out there and gain feedback from consumers.
The gardens were also pretty spectacular, each morning we embraced the peace and tranquillity of wandering around the walled gardens before Bloom opened to the public, and before we had to put our working hats on of course. Our personal favourite had to be Jane Mc Corkells ‘Our Origin is Green’ whose aim was to demonstrate an emerging confident Ireland with a strong Celtic design influence. Congratulations to Jane on winning a Gold Award for her creation.
Despite the ‘occasional’ rain and possible gale force winds, Over 90,000 people braved the weather and attended Bloom, we would like to thank all that visited us in the Artisan Food Village and hope you enjoyed Bloom 2015. We had another great bank holiday weekend at Bloom and enjoyed ourselves immensely. It is always a great way to meet other Irish food producers and we look forward to seeing you all again next year. Now it is time to recharge ourselves, replenish stock and revise our visit for next year. Bring on Bloom 2016!
