Rockin’ Enniscorthy & Taste ’n Cavan

With the end of a hectic Summer coming near, we may be glad of the rest! Not for long though as major plans for September are underway with the official launch of our new products as part of Supervalu Food Academy in mid-September. With our attendance at new and old food fairs and festivals, the progression of our new food products and our regular weekend tastings in Supervalu’s as part of Food Academy, we have so much to share with you our followers!

This past August Bank Holiday weekend we attended the Enniscorthy Rockin’ Food festival and we must admit we were wowed by the amazing event as a whole. With a wide and varied array of local food producers from all over Ireland, there was something to suit everyone taste buds. The real highlight of the weekend for us was the amazing live music keeping everyone entertained and in full spirits throughout the day and into the night. It was a true family affair with plenty of child-friendly attractions to keep the little ones busy such as balloon making and face-painting. The atmosphere was electric and we were delighted to be part of such a well-organised fun event, it’s definitely one we shall be putting into the calendar for next Summer!

No rest for us though as we headed off to the Taste of Cavan the following weekend for our second year at what is fast becoming one of the best food festivals in the country. Last year we had a fantastic weekend at this event held in the well-equipped grounds of the Cavan Equestrian Centre, so we had high hopes for this year’s event! And thankfully, they did not disappoint. A massive turnout over the two days along with a terrific line-up of Cookery demo’s by well-known chefs such as Neven Maguire and Brian Mc Dermott the ‘No Salt Chef’, made for another wonderful event.

Big thanks to all the organizers, volunteers, producers and visitors of both events for making them true foodie success’s and being so welcoming to Harty’s!

Keep an eye out for next weeks blog to see how we got on at the Taste Kerry event at the Rose of Tralee Dome, and our annual trip up to the Taste of Donegal!
